In 1983, Car Doc SA Auto Repair Shop opened its doors under the administration of Konrad Starke Valverde in San José, Costa Rica. Konrad Starke, a founding partner, graduated from the Instituto Tecnologico de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey, Mexico in 1982. Upon graduating, Konrad received a diploma awarded to "The Best Students of Mexico" delivered by former President Lopez Portillo and the Committee of the Instituto Tecnologico de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey. One year later his brother Einar graduated from the same institution and became his first partner.
Since its beginning, Car Doc has distinguished itself by implementing state of the art technologies and persevering as a leader in the local industry.
In 1995, as part of a policy focused on the future tendencies of the auto market, Car-Doc began working as the exclsuive representative of two prestigious American companies, Mitchell International & Mitchell Repair Information Company. These companies specialize in information solutions for the automotive and auto claims industry and its products are renowned worldwide.
That same year Car Doc , opened a second branch in the northwest part of the city. This branch is administered by Einar Starke and provides services to customers in the northwestern towns of La Uruca, Heredia, Escazu, Santa Ana, Sabana, Pavas and Rohrmoser. It is also conveniently located for people coming in from the north and west of the country to service their vehicles.
In 2000, Car Doc expanded its infrastructure once again by moving its central offices and building a new facility on the eastern side of San Jose. By providing a more modern and spacious facility, we are able to provide better and more efficient service to our clients.
